Kings Dominion Height Requirements: Every Ride Listed
At Kings Dominion, 54 inches (137 cm) is the threshold for every major coaster in the park including Intimidator 305, Dominator, and Twisted Timbers. Riders between 36 and 48 inches still have solid options in the family-ride section. Shoes count toward measured height; hats and hair accessories do not. If anyone in your group is borderline, Guest Services near the front entrance can measure before you commit to a plan.
Knowing the height cutoffs before you arrive saves a lot of frustration at the gate. Kings Dominion uses measuring sticks at individual ride entrances. Shoes count toward your height. Hats and hair accessories do not. If a child is borderline, have them measured at Guest Services near the front entrance before committing to a plan for the day.

Soak City Water Park
Most slide towers at Soak City have minimum heights of 42" to 48" for the most intense slides. The Coconut Shores area and the wave pool have no height minimum. The lazy river is open to all ages with an adult.
Practical Notes
If you have a child hovering right at 48", bring supportive sneakers instead of flip-flops, so it makes a measurable difference. The park will not re-measure at a different ride if a guest is turned away once, so it's worth being accurate at the start of the day rather than discovering a miss mid-queue.
For children between 46" and 47", Reptilian and White Water Canyon are great options. At 48", Grizzly, Racer 75, Twisted Timbers, Backlot Stunt Coaster, and Boo Blasters all open up alongside the Planet Snoopy lineup.
