Catapult Falls, Texas Stingray, Wave Breaker, and Tidal Surge can build faster than Steel Eel or Great White because they are either newer, more visually obvious, or slower-loading. On a 10:30 AM-9 PM day, you want your first 90 minutes focused on the back half of the park, then use shows, animal exhibits, and higher-capacity rides during the hottest, busiest middle of the day.
Rope Drop: 10:30 AM-11:30 AM
Arrive at security by 9:55 and be inside the front gate before opening. Do not start with shops, photos, or the Sesame Street area unless you have toddlers.
- Go straight to Catapult Falls first. This is the park's most important rope drop target because it is newer, popular with families and thrill riders, and can hit 45-75 minutes later in the day.
- Next ride Texas Stingray. It is the best coaster in the park and usually draws the strongest coaster crowd. Early waits are often 10-20 minutes, while afternoon waits can push 40-60 on busy Saturdays.
- If Texas Stingray is running one train or cycling slowly, ride once and move on. Do not burn your whole morning chasing rerides.
Mid-Morning: 11:30 AM-1 PM
This is the window where the park is still manageable but the headliners are starting to fill in.
- Ride Wave Breaker: The Rescue Coaster next. It is a family thrill coaster with broad appeal, so it gets worse once families finish lunch and shows.

- Ride Journey to Atlantis late afternoon if you skipped it earlier. It is still popular, but the line can settle as families move toward shows and dinner.

- Texas Stingray is the top night ride. The wooden coaster feels faster after dark and is worth your final lap if it is under 20 minutes.
- Steel Eel is the best sunset-to-night coaster because the big airtime hills feel more exposed in the dark.
- Great White is a strong closer if you are near the front half of the park.
- Catapult Falls is the gamble. If it is posted under 30 minutes by 8:15 PM, do it. If not, use the hour for Texas Stingray plus Steel Eel instead.
