A 10-minute checklist the night before saves your park morning.

Keep it to the things that derail a morning: shoes and socks set by the door, water bottles filled and in the fridge, tickets or passes loaded on your phone and screenshot in case service drops, sunscreen and a hat in the bag, and a packed snack or lunch. I lay everything by the door the night before so morning is just grab-and-go, not a scavenger hunt.

Because morning problems are small individually but they stack. A missing shoe, an empty bottle, and a ticket buried in an inbox each cost you five minutes and a little patience — and you're doing it while everyone's hungry and antsy. Handling them the night before, when nobody's rushed, means you leave on time and arrive at opening, which is the single biggest thing that improves a park day.

Charging everything. Your phone is your ticket, your map, your wait-time app, and your camera, so a dead battery mid-day is brutal. Plug in all phones overnight and drop a charged portable battery and a cable in the bag. I set the bag by the door with the battery already inside so I can't leave without it.

Yes — give each kid their own short list: their shoes, their hat, their water bottle, one comfort item. Kids who pack their own bag complain less when they're tired later because they chose what's in it. It also spreads the load so the whole morning isn't riding on one parent remembering everything.
